Diane has one of these, I remember she got it awhile back and showed me the site she got it from. I wanted one then and I still want one. It’s a digital caller ID globe, where the number looks like it’s just sort of hanging around in there, lol. I don’t remember where Diane got hers, but this one is from DiscoveryChannelStore.com . It’s about 50 bucks.

OOOOOOOOH that one’s orange! LOL The one I have is blue. I think John got it at Radio Shack but they sell them at Sharper Image too.
A guy could really get lost in that site, what with all those nifty gadgets and all…lol. Next time you’re wanting a break from your fella, bring that site up on your screen
Skye’s right, I was traped for a long time and couldn’t find a way out!
You should put a warning on that link for us guys.
hehe
Neat gadget.

Contrarian curmudgeon that I am, though, I refuse to add a charge for caller ID to my POTS line. I dislike our local mom n pop, “baling wire and chewing gum” telco enough that I begrudge them even the payment for barebones, no-frills so-called “service” they provide as it is.
Put it this way: I have around 500 households/businesses I can call using this lil two-exchange third world county telco, unless I wanna call the other exchange and incur long distance charges.
And that’s when the lines aren’t down cos a buncha squirrels decided to do some line dancing.
Caller ID? Works just fine on the POTS telco (when service is working well), except that even then, it only IDs numbers in this lil mom n pop “baling wire and chewing gum” telco’s own two exchanges.
*sigh*
Of course, my REAL phone number has CID and other features built in. But then, that’s a VOIP “line” that does not—yet—work with external CID devices.

Still, cool gadget and neat site.
Hehe. My caller ID service is free.
Oh, another site with cool stuff… you can make yourself (or with a kid).
