As most of you know, Rich and I have a news blog. We have tried everything except selling our mothers (HEY, Rich, THERE’s an idea!) to get people to contribute to it. David has contributed from time to time, and Diane has once or twice, and maybe a couple of others… but I’m begging you all!
I think this is a great news blog, but it would be even better if we could get more of our friends to add to it from time to time. The more views we have, the more balanced it is! You know, just whenever you read a news article that catches your attention, even if you write about it on your own blog, go on over to BNB and let us hear about it there, too! You can even copy and paste the whole article as long as you link back to the source. Or if you’d rather tell about it in your own words and give your opinion on it, just choose op-ed in the categories. Rich has changed the op-ed so that it has it’s own section now, right at the top. If you post something there, you’re sure to get hits back to your own blog.

AND - a cherry on top too!!
This isn’t just for the “big” news stories, we wanted to start a blog that would include smaller, local town stories, the really interesting stuff of life. We tend to miss a lot of that when we listen to cnn, or msnbc, and all of the really great stories, the feelgood stories and tales, all get lost in the morass and mainstream that we now call news
I’ll try.
hehe
Diane, “The moment we attach the word “TRY” to an action we have given ourselves an excuse not to succeed simply because no commitment was ever given to accomplishing that action.”
p.s.,
I never knew anything about your news blog. I would like to commit to helping out, but I just about never keep up with what’s happening in the world around me. I’m always the last to know. Like, for instance, the time a couple years ago when I heard all these footsteps going up and down my upstairs neighbor’s steps. I figured they were moving out. It wasn’t until I went to take my dog out for her walk that I discovered how wrong I was.
I opened the door only to see a gazillion cops and yellow “do not cross” police tape. The lightbulb finally went off in my head. My upstair’s neighbor had been killed by her live-in, drugged-up boyfriend. She hadn’t listened to her family and friends. She just knew that she could fix him.
Such a waste of a young life.
My Terrorist Chickens In My Neighborhood story would be great contribution, just joking. Great initiative, i’ll blogroll it strait a way.
My life’s pretty boring. People would just fall asleep reading my ramblings and trying to figure what it was I ,m talking about when the windows open and the screen is full.
I LOVED Terrorist Chickens! I think that would make a great addition.
Thank you for liking my chicken Diane, thanks to Mel I’m often checking up your blog and enjoying your relaxed views on life too.
Keep on blogging!
