“He needs to offer a deep and persuasive apology, demonstrating that words can also heal,” it added.
Yeah well, sadly, much of the US listens to the NY Times, and they should be ashamed, but they never are, and they’re almost always full of shit.
Dragonlady and I were having a discussion about this a few days ago. She said she’s not even catholic, but would be pissed off at the pope if he issued an apology. I AGREE. The world is insane. He did nothing wrong except fire up the idiots that will take any opportunity to run into the streets and find a camera to put on a show in front of and insult the crap out of and demand the head of whoever fired them up this time.

I don’t regard the Times as anything more than a place to find out what is at the movies and what’s on sale. They can’t be taken serious as a news or leadership source.
But then, they’re not solely responsible for the Pope apologizing for nothing. A lot of folks do not have a backbone lately.

If we get PC bashed for not respecting their religion (you know, the promotion of murder, baby head chopping, and the promotion of terrorists), then why the hell should we apologize for our OWN religions? The pope was reading from an old scripture for pete’s sake!
