I took Sara to the dentist yesterday because her teeth have been hurting and she was sure she had cavities. Not a one. Just four fully grown but impacted wisdom teeth, at the ripe old age of 15. So Monday she goes to the oral surgeon and they’re being cut out. She’s being put to sleep. This scares me a little in light of the 5 year old who died at the dentist a few days ago after being put under anesthesia.
I’ve heard all kinds of opinions and views on this. On Fox News they were saying that far too many dentists are not trained properly in anesthesiology, especially with children. And most dentists don’t even have heart monitors or anything to monitor you while you’re under. Amazingly, SOME dentists are not even trained in CPR.
I was very surprised this morning when I saw the mother of the little girl on the news, saying that she wasn’t angry at the dentist, and that he probably felt as bad as she does. I was surprised because this is America, Land of the Free Money, where people sue over things like hot coffee.davila ardell star pornporn allison dawn photosdawndi porndawnload pornoporn videos miller dawsonporn daydaylene porndayton porn Map

My childhood dentist would gas me up right on the edge between concious and unconcious. (And I think I spelled those both wrong, but I don’t care.) Anyway, I would hallucinate and once even had an out of body experience on the gas. Man I loved that shit. Last time he gassed me wasn’t so fun though. Something was chasing me down a dark tunnel and I kept running and running toward the light, and then I realized the light was that dental light over my head. I was laying there breathing all hard and heavy like I really had been running and caught Dr B walking out of the room. He never even offered the gas anymore. *sigh* I so enjoyed getting high at the dentist as a kid.
Sorry did I just ramble?
Yeah, i used to get the gas too, but I hated it, made me sick.
I had that same procedure done when I was 18 and didn’t have a problem. But if you have concerns, you should ask the dentist all the questions you want until you feel comfortable. It’s better to delay and maybe have another dentist perform the surgery then to rush into it.
Skeptical, pessimist me says the lawsuit is coming.
I had the same reaction as you, Mel, with gas. On the way home, through the streets of Pittsburgh, as a little guy.
I wish I had had DL’s.
After having several dental issues lately, I understand completely. I don’t think I’d want gas, or to be put under. I had the needle, and I’m deathly afraid of needles…
Hope everything goes ok for her.
Damn! That’s got to hurt. And worry- yes I would. She’ll be OK though I’m sure!!!
Sara is home safe and sound. WHEW.
