I don't think I'd want gas, or to be put under. I had the needle, and I'm deathly afraid of needles... Hope everything goes ok for her. I had the same reaction as you, Mel, with gas. On the way home, through the streets of Pittsburgh, as a little guy. I wish I had had DL's. Skeptical, pessimist me says the lawsuit is coming.

But if you have concerns, you should ask the dentist all the questions you want until you feel comfortable. It's better to delay and maybe have another dentist perform the surgery then to rush into it. I had that same procedure done when I was 18 and didn’t have a problem. (And I think I spelled those both wrong, but I don't care.) Anyway, I would hallucinate and once even had an out of body experience on the gas. Man I loved that shit. Last time he gassed me wasn't so fun though. Something was chasing me down a dark tunnel and I kept running and running toward the light, and then I realized the light was that dental light over my head. I was laying there breathing all hard and heavy like I really had been running and caught Dr B walking out of the room. He never even offered the gas anymore. *sigh* I so enjoyed getting high at the dentist as a kid. :) Sorry did I just ramble? :mac: My childhood dentist would gas me up right on the edge between concious and unconcious.
