CBS sportsline:
The Razorbacks (9-1, 6-0) can clinch a spot in the Southeastern Conference title game with a win next weekend at Mississippi State. They’ve won nine straight since a season-opening loss to Southern California - their longest streak since 1988 - and when this one was over, the crowd began chanting “BCS.” Suddenly, a spot in the national championship game for Arkansas doesn’t sound far-fetched.
Collegefootballnews.com:
After several close shaves and a lot of doubts from the college football community, the Arkansas Razorbacks decided to put an end to the suspense. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Houston Nutt’s team is the best in the Southeastern Conference. Instead of backing toward a soon-toarrive SEC West title, the boys from Fayetteville went whole Hog to claim a boatload of fresh respect.
No fresh respect from you, DL? You are SOOO unforgiving! You better remember your roots you ungrateful little crown-holder!
Heh… I didn’t really mean to call you that, lol.

LMAO It’s all I can do to watch Pro football, let alone college.
I don’t actually watch it either,i just read the scores at work.
LMAO Mel! Yes you did mean that.
They can say they are the best all they want, but wait until they get to a bowl game, and then choke, cough, cough, choke.
I damn well remember that season in 1988. That was the first Cotton Bowl they rolled over for. Nope, no forgiveness.
GEEEZ DL was that 18 years ago? LOL
You DO realize don’t you that the team is an entirely different group of people now? and that you can’t really say that this particular team will choke until they do? You are one tough cookie.
Well, to be honest, I didn’t like the Hogs before then, hence why I never even considered applying to UofA Fayetteville.
One year, either ‘92 or ‘93, my sister-in-law gave my inlaws a pair of tickets to see the Hogs play LSU at Fayetteville. The inlaws didn’t want to go, so they gave the tickets to James and I. To put the whole trip in proper perspective, it was spitting snow as we got in I40 in Morrilton. We lasted until halftime, freezing our asses off, with LSU kicking ass. (I like LSU, by the way.) So, anyway, we couldn’t stand the cold and left at halftime. Listened to the game on the radio, and I’ll be damned if the Razorbacks didn’t pull a win out of their asses after we left.
Oh, and why the hell did you have to remind me how long ago 1998 was??
I mean 88
LOL I know DL! Doesnt that seem insane that the 80’s was 20 years ago?
:(
[…] Now, I have had a long standing dislike for the Razorbacks given their tendency to get to bowl games after winning seasons and just roll over and let whatever team they are playing against win. Mel was taunting me about it the other day too, and yes, I am completely unforgiving after wasting my time two years in a row watch the Hogs get stomped in the Cotton Bowl. […]
